Kim Phelps

It’s a long, long trail with many a twist and turn from Moose Jaw, Canada to Dannevirke, New Zealand. That journey Kim started in 1974 on leaving the R.C.M.Police and heading to his unknown of New Zealand.

Gaining employ at a variety of positions from north of Whangarei to south of Dunedin reminded him of the phrase repeated from all previous teachers and both parents; “Kim could do much better if he only applied himself.” He was spurred into action by his loving wife, three awesome daughters, and his now third decade. Kim started with the NZ Osteopathic & Naturopathic College and concurrently with the University of Otago gaining the credentials to practise Osteopathy.

Since the day The Osteopathic Clinic door opened, Kim maintains that the most effective method of therapy is to treat the cause of the problem rather than focus on symptoms. Based in Dannevirke for over 20 years with a busy wholistic clinic, Kim uses solid osteopathic principles, scientific research and an ‘outside the square’ attitude. He has recently developed a gel utilising Nemidons amazing absorption properties to treat endocrine disorders by direct delivery to the target organs. This collaboration and research is under-way on this exciting novel development in health care.

When not at the clinic, Kim, and Karen his loving wife, are found on their 23 acre organic farm breeding Hinterwalder cattle and living the good, but very busy life.
